ok so there is no bus that that goes specifically Manali to Tabo or Kaza to Tabo.If you are coming from the Shimla to Kaza then you can get down at Tabo from the bus around 3 in the evening.However if you have come from manali side or are at Kaza and want to go to Tabo you’ll have to catch the morning bus from Kaza to Reckong-Peo at 7 in the morning.You should reach Tabo in one and a half hour max.
When coming to Tabo from the Shimla side.You’ll have to catch the Shimla to Kaza Bus from Shimla ISBT at 6:00 AM which will drop you off at Reckong Peo by evening,the next day you’ll have to catch the bus to Kaza from Reckong Peo at 7:00 AM.You can get down at Tabo from the bus or go to Kaza and then proceed towards Tabo.
You can reach Tabo from Manali via the Manali to Kaza bus that runs in the morning at 5AM and 5:30 AM respectively. You will reach Kaza by 4:30 in the evening.Then from kaza you’ll have to hitch a ride or take a taxi.Maybe take the morning bus to Reckong Peo. or any bus in that general direction.

Roads stay open during this time and a lot of tourists flock Chandratal in this period.You will find foreigners and indian nationals visiting chandratal during this period,the weather stays cold throughout.The snow usually melts mostly by the end of june and is only visible at mountain tops.Grass and other vegetation starts growing and the valley gets a good makeover.
Like I said the caves around Tabo serve as a very good spot for a dayhike as you can explore various caves and see their architecture ,perhaps mediate in one. I saw the caves first time when I was coming from Mudh towards Kaza.Man there are so many caves all around.It just blows your mind.
