The route to the Balari top starts from the
Demul village. The trail head lies on the only road leading to Demul from down below. If you have a car you can literally drive upto the point from where the trail starts and cut your walk short by an hour. However if you don’t have a car you will get an extra hour to soak in the beauty of Spiti. The trailhead for the Balari top starts at a white stupa near the road. From here you will have to walk. The trail goes up on a ridge line and ascends gradually. The trail then turns left where this ridge connects to another ridgeline. Continue on this ridge to reach the Balari top.
From the top you will be able to observe the confluence of the Pin and Spiti river systems at a distance and a little after it the Lingti river also merges into the Spiti river. Villages of
Dhankar, Mane ,Schiling ,Zaluk , Bhutak and Soshuna are visible from the top.
