After arrival at Manali in the morning, a small briefing about the trek and its essentials including the weight of the backpack, food, and utensils are things to discuss with your partner or group before heading to the Solang Valley. Ride the local bus or hire a taxi to reach the Solang Valley and thereafter Dhundi. As you travel towards Dhundi the Pir Panjal mountain range will keep you company throughout. After a few minutes you should be able to get the glimpses of snow covered Friendship Peak and Hanuman Tibba. The marveling allure of the mountains leave you mesmerized. You will be passing by the Solang Valley where a lot of tourists flock throughout the year. Dhundi is marked by a bridge just before the South portal of the Atal Tunnel. The trail to the Dhundi Campsite is just where the bridge ends and goes down towards the stream which is flowing out of the Beas Kund. You can camp anywhere you like. But a nice place would be a 10 minute walk on the ridge to your right. Which is placed 20 meters above the stream. Camp at night and enjoy the meadows of Dhundi. The skies starry skies are totally out of this world.
